Hop Juice #2 – The power surge, the juice takes control
The journey continues, and this time we're shifting up a gear. Hop Juice #2 is the second stage of our anniversary trilogy with Freestyle Hops — a DIPA that no longer just hints, it asserts itself. Denser, more intense, more expressive: here the hops no longer whisper, they take over.
In the glass, the colour deepens into a saturated gold leaning towards thick, glowing juice. The haze is more compact, almost pulpy, and the head crowns it all like a wave that never quite breaks. The body gains volume, roundness and presence. We're past the intro — this is the heart of the matter.
And right from the nose, it hits.
The Nelson Sauvin & Manilita duo, backed by a Nelson Sauvin Cold Pressed Hop Juice, unleashes an aroma of rare intensity. Bright white grape, redcurrant, ripe tropical fruit, with that elegant, vinous signature that's pure Nelson. An aromatic depth that grabs you instantly, like an adrenaline rush before the decisive blow.
On the palate, the DIPA shows its full power. The attack is broad, almost creamy, then the juice explodes: exotic fruit, ripe peach, white wine notes, with a complexity that settles in and lingers. Nelson asserts its unique character, structured and expressive, while Manilita enriches the profile with a rounder, sunnier dimension.
Despite its intensity, the balance stays surgical. The alcohol (8.3%) brings warmth without ever overpowering, and the bitterness, more present than on #1, frames it all perfectly. Powerful, but controlled. Dense, but always drinkable.
Hop Juice #2 is the moment everything speeds up. Where the aromas take over, where beer becomes an experience.
Brewers' tip: take your time. Let it open up, let it speak. And get ready — the final level will have no limits. 🍇🔥
